We commissioned Stephen Kerr to undertake implementation of a mortgage renewal, as our previous advisor had retired. Stephen was already known to us as a friend of our son, who recommended him. From an early introduction to our current situation, and possible future plans, Stephen gained a clear understanding of our requirements, and was able to explain what options were available to us. This meeting kick-started a productive ongoing dialogue which ensured that we completed the renewal within the available timescale.
During this process, we were ably assisted by Kerr and Watsons Matthew Ralph who invariably answered the phone and on many occasions provided answers to our queries without further reference. In summary, we experienced a very competent and professional performance from this organisation, and we see every reason to come back to Kerr and Watson for our future mortgage related business.

We were caught between securing the property we wanted to buy, with a suddenly nervous buyer for the property we were selling - 10 months into the process of course. So we looked to Dan and talked through options like a bridging loan, which meant we were able to proceed with the purchase, and also have time to - if needed - start again with the ssale.Thanks Dan for talking through the options, and being available so quickly.

We were in search of a specialist broker when in the process of process of purchasing a house with holiday lets meaning our mortgage options were limited. We had already discussed our options with two other brokers who claimed to be specialists in this area. We thought it best to seek a third opinion and thats when we found Stephen. Having discussed our lending needs and position in detail, Stephen went away and found us the best deal by far.

Struggling to find a mortgage lender from a couple of brokers, an internet search drew a phone call from Stephen Kerr of Kerr & Watson. Stephen was very empathetic and understanding of our situation and obtained the Agreement in Principle. He and the team during our house bidding process kept us informed and aware. Their communication was excellent and they were very supportive. Unfortunately we didnt make the best offer and so in the end didnt require that mortgage.
But the ability to make the offer with the mortgage Stephen had obtained behind us gave us so much more confidence to be in the process. I cant recommend Kerr and Watson highly enough up to the application point, and Im sure based upon that, anything beyond that point would also have been fully supported by them. We have no hesitation in recommending them and would certainly use them for our next house purchase.
